Thank you for shopping local

I am amazed by the number of you who really are putting your money where your mouth is when it comes

to shopping local this year. Thank you. I appreciate it and I know many other small businesses do too. I was closed for the first two weeks of December but many of you placed orders through the website or messaged me on Facebook. And do you know, 62% of all items purchased were made by other small business located right here in the north of Ireland?? It grows to 78% if I include the whole of Ireland!! By supporting me you have also supported 55 other small Irish businesses!!!!

So thank you. Thank you for buying greeting cards, candles and honey. Thanks for buying chutney from Bryansford, knitwear from Warrenpoint, and leather pieces from Armagh. Thanks for selecting local paintings and photographs to decorate your walls. Thanks for buying (and hopefully reading) books written by our very interesting local authors. It's my privilege to sell you CDs from so many of our local musicians who have been unable to play in person for us much this year. So thank you. Thanks you for supporting Good Craic so I can support the individuals behind the products.

For those still shopping Good Craic is open every day between now and Christmas. From 10am to 5.30pm every day except Sunday when I'll open at 12pm. I'd love to see your smiling face. For those ordering online our posties are a little overwhelmed so there may be delays. I will upgrade all local orders to First Class for free for the next week and post as soon as possible after receiving your order in the hope of getting all these lovely gifts to you in time to be given but I can't guarantee it.

If you're after additional ideas of how to shop local there are some good ideas here at https://www.supportlocalni.com/ or there is this awesome map which shows loads of good ideas across NI! Shout out to the fabulous Facebook group Northern Ireland Business where I've connected with many of you. It was people from that group who magically created the map- a whole new way of doing things. I've loads more ideas so if you're stuck get in touch. I'm pretty good at suggesting the right gift for the right person whether it's an item I sell or not.

Merry Christmas to you all and once again thank you!

What a year!! I really hope 2021 is a little less eventful.

Belinda
