Fathers Day is 15 June this year. That’s a mere 9 days away as I write. For this who haven’t thought about it yet I thought you might appreciate a little inspiration.
These first gift idea are available right here in Good Craic Gifts, Rostrevor. They can also be posted if need be but you'd want to order asap to make sure they arrive in time.
First of course is a card. I have a wonderful range of Fathers Day cards all by Irish businesses. Here are just a few.
A few of the groovy Father's Day cards available at Good Craic Gifts.
Ok. But it's nice to have a little something to go with the card. Is he a Guinness man? I have some cool signs in. Perfect if he has a wee home bar.

I also just got a brand new hat rack and some new hats. You'll have to pop upstairs to check these out.

For something really unique (that you’ll all get to enjoy) perhaps a hand crafted birdhouse! There’s only one of these available. Isn't it class??? Handmade in Armagh by Barry of Custom Celtic Carvings.

Or if he’s a hiker perhaps an Aerial Map of the Mournes or a Scratch map (currently only one scratch map left but I'm trying to get some more in)?

Maybe your dad is the active type and he’d rather spend time with you over any other gift you could give. Here are some great local companies that might offer just the Father’s Day experience for you and your dad.
Whodunit Hunts - these are a whole lot of fun. You get to choose between a driving tour or a walking tour. They are available in many places all over Ireland including Newry, Newcastle, Castlewellan or the Mournes. You can order the hunt of your choice online or I still have a handful available printed and ready to go in the shop. Less than £10! Great gift and fabulous family day out

When I attempted the Mourne Coastal hunt
Another fantastic but inexpensive experience. Katy is a fabulous instructor who easily adapts to different ages and abilities. The range is indoors so the weather won't affect your plans. £15 per person and you get all the equipment, a safety briefing, coaching and even a few games thrown in once you have the hang of the basics.

Why not rent a canoe or kayak for some family fun on Castlewellan lake? Or a stand up paddle board. Trust me- standing up on those things is a challenge! You'll get to giggle when daddy falls in and cheer him when it works out well. Getting outside and enjoying this beautiful country might be the best possible way to celebrate this fathers day!

Hope that’s inspired you. Show your dad some love next week.
